> Determine your bitrate.

> Install and launch OBS, Skip the auto-configuration wizard for now.
> Follow these video format guidelines in Settings > Output: Select “Advanced” in Output Mode dropdown.
> Select a H264 video encoder in the Encoder dropdown. We recommend using a hardware encoder (i.e. NVENC or QuickSync) over the x264 software encoder unless you are using a dedicated streaming computer.
> Check your upload speed and subtract about 20% to determine your bitrate. Recommended bitrate is 4000 Kbps (4 Mbps).
> Keyframe Interval must be sent at least every 2 seconds throughout the stream.
> Use H264 encoded video and AAC encoded audio only.
> Go to Settings > Video to set up your resolution and fps. The max supported settings are 720p (1280 x 720) resolution at 30 frames per second.

How To Go Live On Facebook Gaming Video With Xsplit
Xsplit Is another third-party app you can use in place of Streamlab and OBS, they pride themselves with ” XSplit VCam makes cutting edge background removal and blurring possible with any webcam, without the need for expensive green screens, and complicated lighting setups.”.

If you wish to go live using Xsplit app, follow the steps below to set it up:

Download XSplit Broadcaster here (use version 3.4 upwards)
> Install and launch XSplit
> Login using your Facebook account.
> Setup your Facebook output.

a. If you have never used XSplit before, the Facebook output will be automatically added for you. Go to Broadcast > [Facebook output]. Otherwise, you can add a new output, go to Broadcast > Set up a new output > Facebook Live

b. Now in the Facebook Live Properties popup, click on “Authorize”, and log in using your Facebook credentials. You will need to grant XSplit permission to post for you.

c. In Post On, choose whether to post your live video on your timeline, a group or a page you manage. In Post As, choose whether to post your live video using your profile or as a page you manage.

XSplit is automatically set for to you stream at 720p 30fps. So unless you want to change this, move to the next section.

For your Video Encoding setting: Facebook allows a maximum resolution and frame rate of 720p@30fps and the recommended bitrate is 2,500kbps, maximum is 4000kbps.

Codec: x264 (default), you can use other codecs that are available on your system (e.g. Quicksync, NVENC, AMD VCE).

Bitrate: The higher the bitrate the better the quality, but the higher the bandwidth it needs. It is recommended to set your bitrate by half of your upload speed. For example, if you have 5 Mbps upload speed you can set your bitrate to 2,500.

Mode: CBR (default)

Keyframe: 2 (recommended)

Preset: very fast (default)

You can ensure you are uploading 720p@30fps by setting it in the little gear icon.
Once everything is set up, hit OK to save the settings.
